This is a place where pictures and words express a few things about home, books, gardens, joys, confessions, sorrows, frustrations, hopes, and desires.

Who and Why

I'm a seeker, somewhat restless, with a strong need to define what's home. My rooms are a collection of area rugs on hardwood floors, paintings by Hungarian artist, Szotyory Laszlo, Elissa Yanover, my dad, and books and books, coffee cups on windowsills, old furniture from parents and grandparents, garage finds and a few new items. Also on my bookshelf: Women in Bed, a collection of nine stories, and my debut novel, Night Swim, which landed in the top ten on Amazon's and Barnes and Noble's paid bestseller lists, and was published in Germany as Schwimmen in der Nacht. My second novel, Strangers In Budapest, published by Algonquin Books was a 2017 and 2018 Indie Pick (Hardcover and paperback). Visit my website: www.jessicakeener.com
